The Transition Service provides a unique chance to help young people with learning disabilities gain confidence and self-esteem as they leave home for the first time. Support Workers play a crucial role in teaching essential life skills, supporting emotional well-being, and guiding them through the ways of the world.

At Aldingbourne, we proudly support people with learning disabilities to live independently in their own flats and be active members of our local community. We work in partnership with our tenants, enabling them to live the lives they choose while developing their independence.

This role requires flexibility, covering early morning, weekday, weekend, and evening shifts, as well as sleep-ins (once probation is passed). Our friendly team supports clients in their day-to-day activities, who live independently in central Bognor (close to the train station, with excellent bus services and a busy high street).

We are passionate about helping the people we support improve their well-being, quality of life, and day-to-day living skills. We encourage them to lead fulfilling lives by getting involved in work, learning, and leisure activities of their choosing, maintaining family connections, and making social connections.

Working for Aldingbourne Trust means being part of a charity that values its staff as much as the people we support. This means competitive salaries, generous benefits, and above all, a supportive team environment where we help each other achieve the best.

No previous experience in a similar role is required. We are looking for individuals who can bring their own experiences and a passion for working with people.
